Five Star Concrete Services was founded in 2004 by Tracy Aiton, Scott Myers and Howard Rostad. The company was self-funded from the start and after experiencing tremendous growth over the last twelve years, Five Star remains essentially debt free today. Collectively and as individuals, Tracy, Scott and Howard offer a wealth of industry experience and an unmatched commitment to hard work and professionalism.
Our company philosophy is based around the simple principle of treating employees, vendors, and customers in the same manner we would like to be treated. Our continuing goal is to provide hard work, the highest quality products and unmatched customer satisfaction. By living up to our values, Five Star has built and maintained a strong presence throughout the Southwest.
Scott Myers began his epoxy career in 1981 as a laborer for a Phoenix concrete coatings contractor, working during summer breaks from college. In 1985, Scott founded Century Flooring in Anaheim, California. Eventually moving back to the Valley, he continued to work in the concrete coatings field as a foreman, superintendent, and project manager for a local coatings contractor.
In 2004 Scott, along with his partners, founded Five Star Concrete Services, Inc. Over the last eight years, his experience and hard work have helped the company become one of the Southwest’s leading providers of concrete coatings.Click here to contact Scott.
Tracy Aiton was raised in a construction family where she learned the value of honesty, integrity, accountability, trust, and hard work.
Tracy brings more than 20 years of self-employment in the construction and concrete industries to Five Star. Before moving to Phoenix, she owned and operated her own concrete company in Prescott, Arizona. In addition to her work experience, Tracy holds two Bachelor’s Degrees: one in Business Management and one in Business Finance.
Tracy’s responsibilities at Five Star include managing, scheduling, and selling the services of the concrete cutting department. Her education, experience and commitment to customer service play a huge role in the success of Five Star and our clients.Click here to contact Tracy.
Howard Rostad grew up in the construction industry and has been on job sites since the age of five. Taught by his father, Howard mastered most aspects of the construction business at a young age: by 16 he was already foreman of a crew of grown men.
Following his high school graduation, Howard worked for his father for three years before buying the family business. Originally a home builder, the company’s scope grew to include apartment buildings, office buildings, hotels, and strip shopping centers in six Midwestern states. While working full time and running a successful business, Howard earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Management.
